Elfcapades 2014

The elves are back once again and doing all sorts of things.

They arrived bring an advent calendar for the girls.

I was having all sorts of trouble with our "never out" pre-lit tree this year and had to restring the whole thing. Lolly and Alexis decided to try and help.

They brought the girls gingerbread house kits to make. Alexis is telling Lolly how to put one together.

They brought PJs for the girls and their dolls again this year.

This one....well....Lolly pooped a kiss.

They must have been hungry because they made pancakes. Lots of tiny pancakes.

They took a ride on our tree (it spins)

They snuggled into a Christmas blanket

December 19th
They brought the girls ornaments for the year. A backpack for Buttercup since she started Kindergarten this year and a ballerina for Sugar.

December 20th
They took all our Christmas cards off the cabinets and read them.

December 21st
They wrote on the bathroom mirror.

December 22nd
They brought a gingerbread house.

December 23rd
They took a ride in Kit's (American Girl) scooter.

December 24th
They went bowling.

December 16th

The decided to have a little fun on the iPad.

December 11th - 15th

December 11

They wanted to go to school with the girls.

December 12
They played Blokus with a reindeer.

December 13
They hung out in Sugar's stocking.

December 14
They brought a tree craft for the girls to do.

December 15
They didn't have any chestnuts to roast so they settled for giant marshmallows.

December 6th through 10th

December 6th the elves went on a safari.

December 7th they were found in the freezer. It took forever for the girls to find them!

December 8th they brought PJs for the girls and their dolls again this year.

December 9th they were found praying to Jesus.

December 10th found them looking at our Disney scrapbook with Mickey and Minnie ears on. Alexis was even wearing a Minnie skirt. The girls LOVED this one. Gotta say, it's one of my favorites too.

December 5th

Lolly and Alexis must have been missing Santa because they were found this morning sitting on his lap. It took forever for the girls to find them this morning!

December 3rd and 4th

Sugar had written Alexis a note asking her what kind of elf she was. Apparently there's been a big discussion at school about what kind of elf friends have whether it be an "elf on a shelf" or "elf magic" or some other elf. Well no one has an elf that looks like Alexis so she was wondering what kind of elf she was. So Alexis wrote her back.

December 4th
The girls had set up a little tea party for the elves to enjoy while they slept. So Lolly and Alexis did!

December 2nd

Looks like the elves made themselves at home in the kitchen last night and made cookie lollipops for the girls and a bunch of cookies for the rest of us.

The return - 2013!

Lolly and Alexis are back!
Today they brought an advent calendar for the girls.

It's almost time for the elves to return! I've been working on my list of what all they might do. This year is going to be a little more challenging because we have a new cat and a new puppy so they won't be on the floor this year so I'm having to come up with ideas involving being off the ground. December 24: Last day!

This is the last day for the elves and I'm almost sad to see it all end for another year.

We don't get much snow here so the elves made it look like it was snowing outside.

December 23rd

The elves decided they wanted to try their hand at being beauticians.

Alexis apparently thought Lolly needed a shave.

Only 2 more days of elfcapades!

December 21st

The elves got into a little trouble last night and got stuck in the lantern.

The elves go home in 3 days! I can't believe it's almost over. :(

December 20th

Our elves are ornament makers and brought the girls their ornaments for the year. Each year the girls get an ornament (usually representing something they did that year) so that when they go off on their own, they will have a tree full of ornaments to decorate their own tree with. This year the elves made ornaments of elves made out of a pine cone.
